Everton forward focusing on keeping fit
Everton’s January signing Cenk Tosun has found it tough to adapt to life in the Premier League since his arrival and is now working to improve his fitness levels in order to become a better player, according to Goal.
He was brought in for £27 million last month but is still yet to score his first goal for the club in what has become a tricky situation for the player and club.
Tosun didn’t play a single minute in the Toffees’ 3-1 win against Crystal Palace at the weekend but he wasn’t worried about this as he works his way back to fitness.
The Turkish international came to the club in great form, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances before he made the move, but he has since struggled to make a difference to an Everton side that has struggled to replace Romelu Lukaku’s goals in the team.
Tosun is looking at the bigger picture despite not playing too much in recent games.
I am in a completely different league. I’m doing everything to settle in and bond with my new team-mates. I did not play in the last game, but it does not bother me.
I am just focused on my game and training hard. I am going to be a lot fitter in a fortnight’s time and then return to the starting XI.
