Everton are reportedly keeping a close eye on FC Ural midfielder Petrus Boumal ahead of a potential summer move.
The midfielder has been in good form this season and has attracted plenty of plaudits for his consistent displays in the Russian Premier League. It seems Boumal’s form has not gone unnoticed by Everton, too, with French news outlet Foot Mercato citing them with interest.
Boumal only joined Ural in recent times after a strong spell in France with FC Sochaux. However, he has gone from strength to strength in Russia and could be on the move again this summer if reports are to be believed.
Foot Mercato claim that Boumal may be lined up as a potential replacement for Idrissa Gueye should the midfielder opt to leave Everton at the end of the campaign. Although, this looks unlikely, with the Toffees regarding Gueye as one of their most important players.
Boumal is the subject of interest from Belgian outfit Genk, but it seems they will need to offer more than the apparent €2m offer they did during the January transfer window.
