Everton are reportedly having doubts over a permanent move to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona in the summer.
According to reports in Spain, as cited on Calciomercato, the club are unsure on a move following Gomes’ injury record since joining the club.
The Premier League side do not hold an option to buy the player as part of the deal but could sanction of a move if he goes on to impress at Goodison.
The Portuguese midfielder is still yet to make an appearance for the Toffees after signing on loan.
However, Marco Silva has confirmed that he could feature against Crystal Palace after the international break.
Gomes has struggled with injuries throughout the summer and was not fully fit when he signed for the club.
Despite Everton being aware of Gomes’ injuries, they would have undoubtedly been keen to call upon him earlier.
Silva’s side have struggled with injuries throughout the squad this season, with fellow summer signing Yerry Mina another who is yet to feature for the club since arriving from Barcelona.
