Mirallas keen to stay put at Fiorentina
Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has expressed his desire to extend his stay at Fiorentina as he continues to enjoy a loan spell in Italy.
The experienced attacker completed a season-long loan move to Serie A outfit Fiorentina in the summer transfer window after being deemed as surplus to Marco Silva’s requirements for the campaign ahead.
Mirallas will see his contract at Everton reach its expiration date at the end of the season and, in an interview with La Nazione, the winger expressed his desire to remain with La Viola for the foreseeable future.
My target is to remain here and convince Fiorentina to sign me on a permanent deal. Fiorentina is a perfect club for me and the city is great. My family and I are in love with Florence.
Everything is super here and I am ready to show that I am the right person in the right place.
The 31-year-old has made only one start for Fiorentina in Serie A this season but has made three appearances for his new side off the bench.
Mirallas will be keen to nail down a regular place in Stefano Pioli’s starting line-up as the season progresses, with his intentions to remain in Italy clear for all to see.
We are not living this situation as a temporary one but we want to make my stay permanent, it would be an extraordinary target for me.
