Keane praises team mate Lookman
Michael Keane has backed Everton team-mate Ademola Lookman to get even better, Goal reports.
The winger got an assist at the weekend to help his side take all three points against Bournemouth and has been grabbing his opportunities with the first team in both hands this season.
Lookman was named as the Man of the Match for that outstanding performance against Eddie Howe’s side and fellow Toffees team-mate Keane has praised the youngster’s recent performances.
Lookman enjoyed a loan spell at Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last season and has progressed through the various age categories with England, now becoming a regular for the England Under-21 side.
With Keane having followed a similar international path of progression, the centre-back knows what it takes to develop into a full international and a regular in the Premier League.
Keane told the Liverpool Echo of the potential that Lookman bolsters:
I think he’s got a lot of experienced players around him to talk to and give him advice.
You can obviously see the quality he’s got in training and he’s had to be patient this year and wait for his chance and I think he’s showed what he can do today.
He’s showed it in glimpses through the season but he’s a very talented player. He’s only going to learn and get better. The world’s his oyster if he keeps improving.
Lookman has made 12 league appearances this season for Everton with two of them being starts for the Merseyside club.
