Roma and Lazio are both interested in signing Barcelona midfielder and current Everton loanee André Gomes, according to a Calciomercato exclusive.
The Portuguese midfielder joined the Toffees in the summer on a season-long loan, and has impressed this season in the heart of the club’s midfield.
Fans, manager Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands have all expressed desire to see Gomes move to Goodison Park on a permanent basis, however according to reports, they may face competition for his signature.
While both Serie A clubs, both based in Rome, won’t be moving for Gomes in this current window, the clubs are keen to sign him in the summer with Barcelona likely to cash in.
Lazio in particular see Gomes as a potential replacement for star midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić, if the Serbian leaves the Stadio Olimpico next summer.
