Everton are in a good run of form and arguably put in their best performance of the season on Saturday evening as they brushed aside West Ham at the London Stadium.
After some inconsistent months, manager Marco Silva seems to have found the perfect balance in his team and he will be hoping to push for a top-six finish next season.
To do so, the Toffees will need to be smart with their recruitment, with some of the best players currently playing in the Bundesliga.
Below, we’ve listed some German top flight players that Everton should consider signing this summer.
Dayot Upamecano - RB Leipzig
The 20-year-old centre-back is very highly rated in Germany and is well known for his pace and defensive awareness. With Kurt Zouma scheduled to return to Chelsea at the end of the season, Upamecano could be the perfect acquisition.
Alfred Finnbogason - FC Augsburg
The striker has ten goals in the Bundesliga this season and is a traditional number 9. He has the mentality and physique to succeed in the Premier League, just like fellow Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Karim Bellarabi - Bayer Leverkusen
The winger has been a reliable top-flight performer for several seasons and has even made appearances for the Germany senior side. He’s skilful and would give Everton more of an edge attacking wise.
Leonardo Bittencourt - Hoffenheim
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is well known for his vision and expert passing. He can operate is a deeper role as well as on either flank, making him a valuable asset to any side.
Maximilian Eggstein - Werder Bremen
Eggstein has been a surprise product in the Bundesliga this season. The 22-year-old has five goals and four assists this season. He is a tenacious and ambitious midfielder and would add creativity to the Everton side.
