Jonjoe Kenny’s time in Germany continues to see him go from strength to strength, with the full-back having earned a nomination for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for August.
The 22-year old has started every game for Schalke in the Bundesliga so far this season, scoring his first goal for the club in their last fixture against Hertha Berlin with a superb strike.
Talk in Germany has already turned to whether the Gelsenkirchen harbour any hope of signing the Everton starlet on a permanent deal next summer, and Kenny has been coy on speculation, claiming he wants to focus on playing this season.
Kenny’s long-term future as an Everton player never looked clear, and while Silva was keen to get him more minutes this season, it looked very conclusive he wouldn’t have received them at Goodison Park.
Many Everton fans are enjoying watching Kenny’s progress in Germany, with a number of them having taken to Twitter to both praise the right-back while also reminding Schalke that he will be coming back to Liverpool in the summer.

I’ve said it before so I won’t write much reiterating the point, but it is so positive to see Jonjoe continuing to learn and progress this season under David Wagner, and hopefully it’ll push him to come back and fight harder for his place next season.
