Everton have accepted an offer from Championship side Nottingham Forest for striker Oumar Niasse, but the player has rejected the move, according to a report on Football Insider.

Last week, it was revealed that the Toffees had accepted two offers from the Championship for the forward.

Everton’s Director of Football Marcel Brands recently confirmed that the Merseyside club were looking to sort out for future of Niasse, with a loan move until the end of the season seeming the most likely outcome.

As stated in the report, Niasse isn’t keen on making the drop down from the Premier League to the Championship.

Niasse has played 17 minutes of top-flight football this campaign for Everton so it is clear that manager Carlo Ancelotti does not have him in his plans.

The Senegal international wants to be playing at a high level for the remainder of the season but we feel that he needs to show that he still has the desire to succeed.

His contract expires at the end of the season and we believe that by making a move to a Championship club, he could prove his hunger and if he does well, who knows, he could even get a move to a Premier League team in the summer for free.
