Report linking Everton Soares sparks Everton fans to respond
Everton are reportedly keen to bring in Gremio forward Everton Soares this summer, according to Globoesporte.
The Toffees have previously been linked with a move for the Brazilian international, and with the summer transfer window fast approaching, links have re-emerged.
The 24-year-old has played a large amount of games already in his short career, appearing in no less than 268 games for the club, where he has netted 69 goals in all competitions.
Such good form has also seen Soares gain a place in the Brazil national side, making 14 appearances in total, and that form is said to have prompted Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti to show further interest.
Ancelotti is keen to put his own stamp on the Everton side and the summer window proposes to be an interesting one for the Merseyside club.
The report goes on to add that Premier League side Everton will not be the only side showing summer interest with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund following the player’s performances.
One potential stumbling block for Everton could be Soares’ reported release clause of £105m, something included in the youngster’s contract if he joins a European side.
Reacting to the latest transfer link, Everton fans gave rather subdued response:
