- Everton are gearing themselves for a busy summer transfer window.
- A poor end to the season showed the need for new bodies in the Toffees’ squad.
- An array of incomings and outgoings are expected at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton are planning a busy summer transfer window with the club already planning to make a move on their targets.
The Toffees were exposed for their lack of depth in their most recent season, so David Moyes will hope to take advantage of an opportunity to build strength in his squad.
Despite recruiting young talent such as Tyler Dibling and Adam Aznou in the last summer window, the Scotsman opted to field more experienced bodies in the 2025-26 campaign.
It appears this trend may continue at Hill Dickinson Stadium as Everton are keeping their eyes on this duo, who are currently with a Premier League rival.
Everton given updates on Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson
Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson have both been linked with a move to Merseyside, as their respective contracts are set to expire at Fulham this month.
The Cottagers have recently made an official announcement that confirmed the Mexican striker will leave the club this month, but the Welsh international has been offered new terms.
Wilson’s intentions are not known, however, he is in search of a significant pay raise in West London.
Jimenez made a move to Craven Cottage at the start of the 2023-24 season, and after a fairly shaky start, he could go on to become a key player, notching 21 league goals in his final two campaigns with the club.
Wilson’s legacy in a white shirt has been far greater, with the winger starting his time at Fulham on loan, and as a crucial in their Championship winning season, that saw his team bag a whopping 106 league goals.
Since then the Welshman has been at the core of the Cottagers’ recent Premier League campaigns, recording his most impressive stats in the 2025-26 season, when he recorded 17 goal contributions.
Should Everton value Premier League experience?
Supporters have vented frustrations that they would like to see Everton be more bold in their transfer policy.
Clubs such as Bournemouth and Brentford have shown an ability to find hidden talent, instead of poaching players from league rivals.
The advantage of doing so is obvious, with such clubs not having to pay ridiculously high fees, but the risk is just as high.
Scouting Premier League experience does not exactly spell ambition, but with the Toffees showing the need to strengthen depth, players such as Jimenez and Wilson would be extremely handy for their long-term project.
