# AC Milan join Everton in Race for Norwich City’s Max Aarons

[Everton](https://readeverton.com/2021/02/24/everton-to-revisit-max-aarons-interest-in-summer-window/)have been joined by another major suitor in the race for top Toffees target Max Aarons, with [title-chasing](https://www.skysports.com/serie-a-table) AC Milan joining the hunt for the Norwich City right-back.

Having been[previously courted](https://readeverton.com/2021/02/24/everton-to-revisit-max-aarons-interest-in-summer-window/) by the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona, Aarons is now the subject of more recent interest from Manchester United, Everton and now Milan as Ancelotti looks to fend off competition for a long-term Seamus Coleman replacement.

According to [MilanLive](https://www.milanlive.it/2021/02/28/calciomercato-milan-sfida-big-aarons-maldini-non-molla/), the [£18 million-valued ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-aarons/profil/spieler/471690) will be the subject of a summer transfer tug-of-war between several major European and domestic sides as they vie for Aarons’ services.

The *Rossoneri* are reportedly not convinced by Diogo Dalot’s performances this season and will not make the Manchester United loanee’s stay at the San Siro a permanent one.

Consequentially, 21-year-old home-grown defender Aarons is being touted as the full-back to fill the void that would be left by Dalot’s absence

Milan’s Technical Director and defensive hero Paolo Maldini – who played a key role in bringing Englishman Fikayo Tomori on loan to Milan – is a [personal admirer of Aarons](https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/ac-milan-join-manchester-united-and-everton-in-race-to-sign-in-demand-norwich-city-man/) and could prove to be a key differential in keeping Everton out of the race.

### Read Everton Verdict

It could be a case of Maldini versus Ancelotti in terms of which Italian has the most formidable pulling power in the mind of Aarons.

A chance to re-unite with Ben Godfrey and learn from the mentorship of Ancelotti, whilst remaining in the UK, could prove to be an attractive package that could see Aarons as a Toffee.

Conversely, Serie A and Milan holds an attraction in its own right.

Just as Aarons’ stance remains unknown, so too does knowledge of where he will be playing next season.
