# Allardyce nominated for Manager of the Month award

Everton boss Sam Allardyce has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for December.

As reported by the [London Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/antonio-conte-mauricio-pochettino-and-roy-hodgson-among-premier-league-manager-of-the-month-nominees-a3732756.html), Allardyce will battle against Pep Guardiola, Roy Hodgson, Jurgen Klopp, [Spurs](https://readtottenham.com/)’ Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte.

The Toffees came close to going the entire month unbeaten in all competitions, only to lose to Bournemouth in their final game of 2017.

In eight matches, Everton won four, drew three, including the Merseyside Derby and lost once.

The strong run of form has eased the relegation worries that surrounded the club earlier in the season.

Allardyce has turned Everton’s form around and managed to get them scoring again, netting 11 times in seven games.

Goals were had to come by under Ronald Koeman and it’s clearly been an area of improvement under the former England boss.

Everton are now ninth in the Premier League, seven points above the bottom three.
