# Allardyce to keep Sandro and McCarthy in January

Everton boss Sam Allardyce wants to keep both Sandro and James McCarthy in January.

The [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5203147/Man-United-eye-Borussia-Dortmund-star-Christian-Pulisic.html) report that both players impressed in a behind-closed-doors friendly during the week.

Sandro has been linked with several moves away from the club since joining in the summer.

The former Barcelona youngster has struggled to adapt to the demands of the Premier League, scoring just once in all competitions for the Toffees this season.

Malaga and Valencia have both been linked with the Spaniard with loan moves being discussed.

McCarthy has been a long-term target for Crystal Palace, who will want to strengthen in January under Roy Hodgson.

McCarthy found game time hard to come by under Ronald Koeman but will be hoping for another chance at Goodison Park under Allardyce.

The Irish midfielder has featured just once for Everton this season in the League Cup.
