# Ancelotti: Everton Only Want ‘Two or Three’ Signings in Summer

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has taken a bold step with regards to future transfers by publicly revealing the number of new signings he intends his side to make in the summer transfer window.

The Toffees want to sign ‘two or three’ new players in the summer by Ancelotti’s own recent admission and insisted upon the club not needing to spend vast sums of money in order to upgrade key areas of the squad.

Elaborating on this, the Italian manager confirmed that along with Director of Football Marcel Brands, Everton will only be targeting a handful of players to bolster the squad.

Ancelotti remained composed when quizzed on the squad ramifications of [potential European football](https://www.premierleague.com/tables)next season, insisting recruitment policy will remain undeterred by the fresh challenges of an increased fixture schedule.

It may not be so riveting for the transfer-smart Toffee [as last summer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-everton/transfers/verein/29), but the clarity offered by Ancelotti is nonetheless commendable.
