# Ancelotti has been given assurances that Kean won’t be moved on in January

Carlo Ancelotti has been given assurances that Moise Kean will not be moved on in January, ahead of the Italian committing himself to joining Everton.

The 60-year old coach is reportedly a big fan of the young striker, and among many assurances that he had wanted from Everton, keeping faith in the 19-year old was a key one.

Corriere Dello Sport ([via Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/italy-ancelottis-e27m-everton-contract-detailed-assurances-transfer-market-players-future/)) have broken down Ancelotti’s proposed contract at Goodison Park, with the former Chelsea manager set to pocket €6million per year. With his staff included, the whole ‘engagement’ will set Everton back €27million.

As many other outlets have reported this week, Ancelotti also sought out assurances that he would have money to spend in the transfer market, with Corriere Dello Sport claiming he has been promised ‘major investment’.

Ancelotti will also be given ‘freedom of action’, meaning he will be able to take the reins as a hands-on manager, and Kean will not be allowed to depart without Ancelotti’s say so.

Ancelotti is now set to return to Naples to finalise his contract in Serie A, having been sacked but not released from his contract by Napoli, and in doing so the Italian should be set to take over in time to lead Everton against Burnley on Boxing Day.

### Read Everton Verdict

After the substitution debacle against Manchester United, I for one am relieved to hear that Ancelotti considers Moise Kean central to his plans going forward.

It would be a shame for him to leave without getting a chance to fulfil his potential at Goodison Park, and hopefully under Carlo Ancelotti he can find some form.

As for Ancelotti’s contract, it is about as expected. Everton were always going to give the new manager money to spend in January, and if the club wanted to land an elite name like Ancelotti, they were always going to need to spend big.

Everything looks appealing to me, and now fans just need to be patient until Everton can rubber stamp the deal and make an announcement.
