# Ancelotti plotting €30m Everton Soares swoop

Premier League side Everton are plotting a €30m swoop for Brazil international forward Everton Soares, according to a report from [Gazeta Esportiva](https://www.gazetaesportiva.com/times/gremio/ancelotti-liga-para-cebolinha-e-clube-ingles-prepara-oferta/).

The report states that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has [already rung and personally spoken directly](https://www.gazetaesportiva.com/times/gremio/ancelotti-liga-para-cebolinha-e-clube-ingles-prepara-oferta/) to the left-winger, who can also operate up front and on the right-wing.

In the 2019 season, the Gremio star [scored 11 times in the Brazilian Serie A, whilst also providing five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/everton/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/321239) after a total of 2,276 minutes of league action.

### READ EVERTON VERDICT

Everton, more commonly known as Cebolinha, was the [star man for Brazil](https://thepfsa.co.uk/evertons-wizardry-key-to-brazils-run-to-the-final/) in the Copa America in the absence of Neymar.

I feel that signing him would definitely be a boost for the Toffees because as quoted on [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/who-is-gremio-star-everton-soares-brazils-new-sensation/1o2ftajyajma11jmf2ngid1ciy), he’s a talent with ‘great things’ awaiting him in the future.

However, the only concern I have is that to accommodate for Cebolinha, Richarlison’s position may need to be slightly adapted because they are both primarily left-wingers.

Richarlison has [featured as the main striker on many occasions](https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2019/10/20/everton-find-their-groove-as-richarlison-returns-to-striker-role/) in his career, even though [he’s been a lot more dangerous](https://theathletic.com/1334837/2019/10/30/richarlison-shows-he-is-at-his-most-dangerous-playing-out-wide/) on the flank.

If Ancelotti secures the signing for €30m, then I feel he’ll have more than enough options attacking wise to help Everton climb up the table.
