# Ancelotti wants to talk to Everton about vacant manager position

Carlo Ancelotti is interesting in talking to Everton about the vacant managerial position, according to reports.

The Italian has emerged as Everton’s top target to succeed Marco Silva at Goodison Park, and following his sacking by Napoli last night, it has now become a lot easier to land the former Chelsea coach.

However, Arsenal are also said to be strongly interested, which has complicated matters. With the North London side having sacked Unai Emery, the Gunners are also looking for a manager with prestige to take them back up the Premier League table.

However, despite reports claiming that Ancelotti has already agreed a deal to join Arsenal, Sky Sports ([via The Toffee Blues](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1204773191358582784)) claim that the 60-year old is willing and wanting to talk to Everton about the vacant position on Merseyside.

While some Everton fans have been divided over whether Ancelotti is best suited to manage a side who don’t have a sizeable stockpile of talent and money to replace them with, the Italian would certainly represent a manager of high calibre joining an exciting project that is in need or rejuvenation.
