# Barca considering shock Deulofeu swoop

European giants Barcelona are reportedly considering making a shock move to bring Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu back to the Nou Camp this summer.

The Spanish wide man is currently spending the second half of the 2016/17 campaign out in Italy, on loan with AC Milan after failing to convince Toffees boss Ronald Koeman of his qualities in the manager’s first season at the club.

Deulofeu has impressed out in Serie A, showing a lot of quality for Milan and earning plenty of plaudits for some typically exciting displays.

Now though, it looks as though Barca are looking to reunite with their academy graduate. Sporting director Robert Fernandez told Cadena Ser, as cited by [Forza Italian Football](https://forzaitalianfootball.com/2017/03/barcelona-consider-bringing-back-ac-milans-deulofeu/), of how he’d be keen to bring the Spaniard back to his homeland.

> We have an opportunity to bring him back and this is very good. I am very happy with how he is performing. He was at Everton but he wasn’t playing, and now that he has joined Milan he is playing well and has even returned to the national team.

> We are keeping tabs on him. The good news is that we can bring him home, all we need is €12 million.

Deulofeu is likely to be available in the summer with Koeman keen to make the squad his own, with it looking as though the 23-year-old won’t have a future at Goodison Park.
