# Bolasie rejects CSKA Moscow loan – Fan Reactions

Yannick Bolasie was never blessed with the best luck after signing for Everton. Brought in as a marquee signing, the Crystal Palace winger would theoretically have become a mainstay for the Toffees, had he not suffered a devastating injury.

Fast forward to present day and Bolasie is persona non grata at Goodison Park, with the DR Congo international failing to even work his way into Everton’s squad for their pre-season campaign.

After loan spells with both Aston Villa and Anderlecht last season, the 30-year old looks set to leave Merseyside before the transfer window shuts, but it won’t be for CSKA Moscow.

According to Sky Sports ([via Alan Myers](https://twitter.com/ALANMYERSMEDIA/status/1167411088603930625)), the winger turned down a loan offer from the Russian Premier League side on Friday morning. CSKA reportedly wanted to bring Bolasie to the Russian capital on a season-long loan, with the option make the move permanent next summer, although Bolasie wasn’t interested.

Bolasie [previously made reference](https://twitter.com/YannickBolasie/status/1159189339101941761) to the racial abuse Malcom has received since signing for Zenit earlier this summer as one reason as to why he wouldn’t move to Russia.

The Toffees are reportedly considering three more offers for the forward, with one unnamed Europa League team expected to return with an improved offer in the next 48 hours.

Taking to Twitter, many Everton fans sympathised with Bolasie and agreed that he shouldn’t make the move to Russia.

### Read Everton Verdict

To echo the sentiment above, while I do want Bolasie to leave this summer, I fully understand why Russia isn’t the right destination. Quite frankly how any black player ever decides to go there blows my mind, such are their attitudes towards racism so horrific and archaic.

That being said, hopefully Bolasie will still find the right solution that will see him leave Goodison Park this month, He needs to be playing regular football, and he won’t get that for Marco Silva’s side, so he needs shifting before Monday’s debut.
