# Dowell joins Sheffield United on loan

Everton have announced that starlet Kieran Dowell will join Sheffield United on loan till the end of the season on January 1.

The 21-year old attacking midfielder has struggled for game time at Goodison Park this campaign, appearing in just two games for the Toffees, starting against both Rotherham United and Southampton in the Carabao Cup.

Considered one of the brightest talents at the club, the England youth international spent last season with Nottingham Forest in the Championship, scoring nine times in 38 league appearances.

Sheffield United currently sit in fourth place in the English second tier, with manager Chris Wilder hoping that with the addition of Dowell, the club can continue the push for promotion to the Premier League, via either automatic qualification or the play-offs.

Dowell will be eligible to make his debut for the Blades against Barnet in the FA Cup third round on January 6.
