Everton 0-2 Arsenal: Player Ratings

Everton produced their worst performance of the season against Arsenal as two first-half goals from Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi gave the Gunners a comfortable victory.

Everton never got going and slumped to their eighth home league defeat of the season in abysmal fashion.

There was no defensive solidity, no tactical nous, no shape to the team, no creativity, nothing.

The feel-good factor that stemmed from the F.A Cup quarter-final win over Chelsea dissipated rapidly, as the Blues were second-best in every possible department.

Everton head into the international break on a real negative note, and will need to pick themselves up immediately if they are to finish in the top half of the table this season.

Why are Everton so poor at home?

Why did Arsenal, who played in Spain two-and-a-half days prior to the match, look infinitely sharper than Everton?

Another frustrating display at L4, and our player ratings more than mirror that.
