# Everton braced for interest in star man from Premier League big boys

Jordan Pickford has emerged as Chelsea’s number one transfer target should Thibaut Courtois complete a move to Real Madrid.

[According to a report from Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11451150/chelsea-make-everton-goalkeeper-jordan-pickford-top-target-should-thibuat-courtois-join-real-madrid), the England international is Chelsea’s first-choice to replace the Belgian.

Courtois is being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and is expected to make a move back to Spain this summer.

The Belgian is out of contract at the end of next season and could potentially leave for nothing next summer.

The Everton shot-stopper would not come cheaply should Chelsea pursue a deal, having only made the move to Goodison Park last summer for a reported £30 million.

The Toffees will be desperate to keep hold of the player and are expected to reject any approaches for the former Sunderland man.

Pickford has enjoyed a successful summer, playing a key role in England’s third-place finish at the World Cup in Russia.
