# Everton v Chelsea: What we know ahead of Saturday’s game

**[Everton](https://readeverton.com/) return to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday when Chelsea provide the next test of their unbeaten Premier League start.**

David Moyes’ side drew [2-2 at Hull City](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/13592795/hull-city-2-2-everton-mohamed-belloumi-earns-tigers-point-in-thrilling-four-goal-second-half-with-toffees-still-unbeaten) last weekend and have 10 points from their opening six league games. Chelsea also have 10 points after beating Bournemouth 5-1 in their most recent Premier League match.

Kick-off is at 12.30pm on Saturday, with the game live on TNT Sports.

## Everton unbeaten but Moyes wants improvement

Everton remain unbeaten in the league, although Moyes was unhappy with their performance at Hull. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall cancelled out Hull’s opener before Thierno Barry put Everton ahead, only for the hosts to equalise with 16 minutes remaining.

Moyes described Everton’s defending as “very, very poor” and said the overall performance was “so far below our level”. Barry’s goal was his sixth of the season, while Dewsbury-Hall scored Everton’s first and set up the striker for the second.

## Chelsea head to Hill Dickinson after five-goal win

Chelsea beat Bournemouth 5-1 in their last outing, scoring twice inside the opening three minutes. Moises Caicedo returned to the starting XI following a calf problem, having previously been restricted to one substitute appearance this season.

There are fitness questions elsewhere for Chelsea. Reece James missed the Bournemouth game with what manager Xabi Alonso described as a “little injury”, while Jamie Gittens is expected to be out for several weeks with an ankle problem.

Everton’s latest injury news should become clearer when Moyes speaks before Saturday’s game.
