# Everton to complete Walcott deal this week

Everton are hoping to complete a deal to sign Arsenal winger Theo Walcott this week.

[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/theo-walcott-played-last-match-11855565) report that Walcott is due to travel to Finch Farm to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move.

It has been reported that a £20 million deal is in place for the winger.

Walcott has struggled to break into the Gunners side for some time and has seen a lot of his football come from the bench.

The England international has mostly been used in cup competitions, seeing his career stagnate.

Everton have lacked any real natural width despite a busy summer of spending under Ronald Koeman.

The signings of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wayne Rooney have seen Everton struggle to find a place in the squad for wingers.

Sam Allardyce is said to be keen to shake up the Toffee’s attack as he looks for strong second half of the season.
