# Virals: Two Toffees Talk All Things Club and Country

Everton fans were treated to a toing-and-froing of jibes, jokes, and all-round banter from two of their international stars.

Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin went viral after the England duo took part in [an amusing call](https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1376192646893481984)laden with plenty of laughter, game talk as well as some more serious discussion of the state of football at large.

Davies is a Young Lion playing in Aidy Boothroyd’s under-21s squad, with Calvert-Lewin featuring in Gareth Southgate’s senior team.

Indeed, Dominic Calvert-Lewin – who looks set to remain as the club’s top scorer this season – treated Everton fans to a brace against San Marino in a comfortable 5-0 victory.

The hitman even addressed a common criticism: that he is a ‘tap-in merchant’ incapable of scoring anything other than close-range finishes.

“23 goals for the season now. Not bad for a tap-in merchant, eh?!”, remarked the striker to his club teammate before garnering a wry smile and a chuckle from Davies.

With[14 goals and 2 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dominic-calvert-lewin/leistungsdaten/spieler/306024) in the league alone, few would doubt the status of Calvert-Lewin’s indomitable form.

His goals elsewhere have equally cemented him as a critical part of Everton’s cup runs this season, not to mention his occasional strikes for England.

Davies has enjoyed something of a less scintillating season, being more of a rotational option in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.

He has [18 appearances and one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tom-davies/profil/spieler/314210)to his name in the league this season, featuring in less than half of Everton’s league starting XIs.

The 22-year-old is a decorating youth international however, with 19 caps at under-21 level.
