# Everton fans are keen on the club making an offer for reported target Vieira

Several Everton fans have called on the club to press ahead with their reported interest in Sampdoria midfielder Ronaldo Vieira.

[Football Insider reported](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-everton-make-approach-to-sign-ronaldo-in-sensational-late-swoop/) on Wednesday that Everton had made an approach to sign the midfielder, who had previously come through Leeds’ academy.

Having joined Sampdoria in 2018, the 21-year old has been a mainstay for the Italian side this season, playing 18 times in Serie A for the Blucerchiati ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ronaldo-vieira/profil/spieler/434676)).

[Football Insider claim](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-everton-make-approach-to-sign-ronaldo-in-sensational-late-swoop/) that Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of the England Under-21s international, and that Everton have made contact with Sampdoria with an enquiry, as they look to sign a midfielder before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Once described by agent [Cheikh Fall as having “everything”](https://sportwitness.co.uk/2-months-leeds-united-exit-ronaldo-vieira-singled-impressing-everything/), Vieira was also a target for West Ham, although David Moyes ultimately opted to sign Tomas Soucek from Slavia Prague instead.

[Football Insider report](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-everton-make-approach-to-sign-ronaldo-in-sensational-late-swoop/) that Vieira would cost around £14million, double what Sampdoria paid Leeds for him 18 months ago, and a number of Everton supporters have given their approval for the Merseyside club to press forward with a bid.
