# Everton fans debate how much Richarlison is worth in the current market

Much of Everton’s transfer related news was dominated on Wednesday by a reported bid for Richarlison from Barcelona.

[Sky Sports had reported](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/11921012/richarlison-everton-reject-barcelonas-85m-offer) that Barcelona had made a huge offer of £85million to sign the Brazil international, although Everton were said to have rejected it.

[The Liverpool Echo then reported](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/richarlison-not-sale-everton-deny-17654838) that Everton had denied a bid ever existed, and that while the club expect interest to intensify over the next 48 hours, the 22-year old is not for sale this month.

While the debate over whether Everton should have accepted Barcelona’s offer quickly dissipated following [the Echo’s tearing down of reports](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/richarlison-not-sale-everton-deny-17654838), the conversation shifted to how much Richarlison should be valued in this current market.

The former Watford man is a regular Brazil international at just 22, signed a new five-year contract as recently as December, and has scored 21 times in 57 Premier League games for Everton ([Soccer Base](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=106787)). On average, Richarlison has scored in 36.84 per cent of Premier League games he has played in for the Toffees, meaning that over a third of his league appearances have seen him on the scoresheet.

Taking to Twitter following Barcelona’s supposed bid, a number of Everton fans discussed how much a player like Richarlison would be worth in today’s market.

> Twitter: @EvertonNewsFeed It doesn’t matter how much he’s worth. Right now he’s irreplacable to us and only a lunatic would… https://t.co/8xTEdAXina (@fergus\_maximus)
