# Everton fans dismiss “terrible pundit” Nicholas after another negative prediction

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has become the latest person to be on the receiving end of Everton fan frustrations, after his inaccurate predictions continue to not come off.

So far this season, the former Arsenal man predicted two draws and two losses from the Toffees opening four Premier League fixtures, not one of which was accurate. Everton actually won once, drew once and won twice, taking their points to seven.

With the Blues set to face Bournemouth at Dean Court, Nicholas has once predicted a loss for Everton, and several Everton fans are starting to pick up on an emerging trend.

Despite spending a lot of money in the summer, and beating teams like Watford and Wolves who have tipped for top half finishes, Everton seemingly still don’t impress the Soccer Saturday pundit.

Reacting on Twitter, several Everton fans have vented their frustrations at what many still perceive to be media bias.

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt With predictions like this he actually has all the attributes of a good Evertonian ![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f923.svg)![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f602.svg)![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f923.svg)![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f602.svg)![✊?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/270a-1f3fc.svg) (@Brimc42)

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt We could put our first team out against a team of U9’s and he would still predict us to lose, just another terrible pundit. (@EfcDan15)

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Clearly Charlie Nicolas is like the BBC, I watched motd after we played wolves, what was it 30 second… https://t.co/x2FJOzTj8R (@SeanIssac6183)

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt I think he might actually be worse towards us than Merson…… (@ben\_stirrup)

Some fans actually defended his right to be critical of Everton however, claiming that it would be perfectly fine if he didn’t personally rate the clubs progress.

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt i take it you get every prediction right?? why don’t you do the whole premier league this week and we… https://t.co/undVb7AmQs (@tonywardle10)

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Or… he doesn’t rate Everton ? How dare he! (@EfcTone)

> Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Or maybe he’s just saying it as he sees it? (@david83jones)

### Read Everton Verdict

I feel like a portion of the Everton fan base needs to stop taking situations like this so personally. Nicholas thinks the way he thinks, and as long as Everton do the business on the pitch, Sky pundits don’t matter one iota.

That being said I do think his logic is skewed. I’m not sure why he has been so adamant that the Toffees won’t win any of their opening five games, especially given that they have been against “easier” teams. By that logic, the Blues should be in serious danger of relegation by the end of the season, and I just don’t see how one could come to that conclusion.
