# Everton fans loved Michael Keane’s comments on his fine form

Having reflected on what has been a formidable season so far for him, [Michael Keane](https://readeverton.com/2020/02/28/everton-fans-want-keane-sale-following-tottenham-interest/) whipped up excitement from many Everton fans over his thoughts on the Toffees’ campaign.

The 27-year-old Mancunian has been an integral keystone of Carlo Ancelotti’s back line. He has featured in [17 Premier League games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael-keane/profil/spieler/118534) this season, even contributing some valuable goals in the process – [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael-keane/profil/spieler/118534) to be precise – as the ex-Manchester United man looks to shore up the Toffees’ defence.

In further evidence to his crucial role at Everton, he has featured in more than 90% of Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XIs and has played almost 95% of all possible minutes for the Merseysiders in the league ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael-keane/profil/spieler/118534)).

Having signed a new [long-term deal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael-keane/profil/spieler/118534) keeping him at Goodison Park until 2025 last summer, Keane is undoubtedly a Toffee for the long haul.

In a statement [shared by Everton](https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1351501737279037442) on their official Twitter channel, Keane spoke glowingly of his own season in a succinct claim, saying: “This has been my most consistent year for Everton and I feel I am playing my best football for the Club”.

Keane, who scored the [winning goal](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55540637) in the Blues’ 2-1 win over Wolves last week, had plenty of Everton fans flocking to Twitter to congratulate and support the defender, who has been an “absolute rock” this season in the eyes of one fan…
