# Everton fans react to Jordan Pickford signing

Everton have officially announced that they have signed goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for an initial £25million with £5million in add-ons agreed for the future.

We asked our Twitter followers for their thoughts on the signing, here’s what some of them had to say:

> Twitter: @ReadEverton Statement of intent ![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.2.1/svg/1f440.svg) (@RealMrBusy)

> Twitter: @ReadEverton One step in the right direction. (@benzoscifo)

> Twitter: @ReadEverton he needs to be worked as hard as he was at Sunderland (even if it’s behind the scenes/ training) but looks a top talent. (@efc\_alex)

> Twitter: @ReadEverton absolutely delighted great young keeper be our England number 1 for next 10 years and he’s the modern day goalkeeper![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.2.1/svg/1f44d.svg) (@duncanthelegend)

> Twitter: @ReadEverton Happy it’s finished and he’s signed!! I thought GK was our weakest position, I was desperate for a new keeper in January (@RossLarr)
