# Everton fans react to drawing Lincoln in Carabao Cup

Everton have been drawn against Lincoln City in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with the tie to be played during the week commencing August 26.

The Imps beat Huddersfield on Tuesday to progress to the next round, and Everton fans will be wary of the threat they possess, only narrowly beating them in the FA Cup last season.

Following the draw, many Everton fans took to Twitter to demand the club take the competition seriously this season, with Lincoln considered a club who are worth taking seriously.

Last season, Everton knocked Lincoln out of the FA Cup third round, before losing to Millwall in the following round. Despite the Toffees beating the Imps, they were up against it for large spells of the game, and had to hang on to their lead by the skin of their teeth in the final minutes.
