# Everton fans react to Ferguson’s decision to substitute Tosun against Arsenal

Everton fans have reacted as Duncan Ferguson substituted a substitute for the second time of his interim Everton spell against Arsenal.

The Scotsman drew criticism from many fans after he brought Moise Kean off against Manchester United with minutes left to play, despite him having only came on less than 20 minutes beforehand.

The Italian was stone-faced as he came off the field, avoiding eye contact with Ferguson, and many fans thought that the decision was unfair to embarrass the 19-year old in such a manner.

Now Ferguson has substituted a substitute once again, bringing Cenk Tosun off against Arsenal with ten minutes left to play, having brought him on early in the first half for the injured Alex Iwobi.

Reacting on social media, many fans expressed their opinion on the matter, with many feeling that the Everton boss was more justified this time around.

> Twitter: Nothing like the Kean situation the other week. Tosun had a good crack at it after Iwboi’s injury and was ordinary. (@philmcnulty)

> Twitter: Tosun can’t really complain. Done nothing (@LKelly\_92)

> Twitter: @Everton Well done Dunc, take Tosun off for Kean when Tosun should never have been on. (@EFCNSNO2)

> Twitter: @Everton It’s happened again hahahahah (@JoakimGray)

> Twitter: @Everton Unfortunately Cenk not at PL level despite his best efforts (@pauly1878)

I must admit that I am stunned that Ferguson has subbed a sub once again, but this time I don’t think it was entirely unjustified.

Given that Tosun came on in the 11th minute, him coming off in the 80th isn’t so odd as he would likely have come off after 70 minutes had he started the game, considering he never offered the club anything going forward.

Unlike Kean, Tosun had enough time to impress, and he failed to do so. It now seems very likely that the Turkey international could be off in the January transfer window.
