# Everton fans keen for Robin Olsen to remain at the club

Many Everton fans were excited by comments from on-loan goalkeeper [Robin Olsen](https://readeverton.com/2021/02/10/robin-olsen-confirms-he-wants-everton-move/) in which he publicly confirmed his desire to make his Goodison Park stay a permanent one.

The [42-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robin-olsen/profil/spieler/75458) Sweden international joined from AS Roma on a [season-long loan](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54428885)deal in the summer transfer window to provide competition between the sticks.

Speaking to the [official Everton website](https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2021112/goalkeeper-olsens-everton-intention), the 31-year-old opened up in a wide-ranging interview about life on Merseyside. He offered comments making his desire to remain at Everton public when prompted about where he sees his professional future.

Olsen was [careful to note](https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1359065405164199936) that any decision is essentially out of his hands, but was upfront over his happiness at the club, saying:

> We want to stay, but it is not me who decides. I can only cross my fingers and see what the club says. As a family, we have moved around and feel we are in a good place now.

> We are very happy, so why not stay until it is time to move home to Sweden? That is what we would choose. It is easy to say that – but everything needs to be sorted out.

These Everton fans had plenty to say as they reacted on Twitter to Olsen’s indications about wanting a permanent transfer…
