# Everton given fresh hope for Yarmolenko deal

Everton have been given fresh [hope](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-transfers-blues-hold-new-10628313) over the signing of free-scoring winger Andriy Yarmolenko after news emerged that the Toffees have been holding talks with the Ukrainian’s agent.

Despite their new-found belief of capturing their long-term Dynamo Kiev target, Everton will not move for Yarmolenko until the end of the season.

The Blues were involved in a transfer saga surrounding Yarmolenko last summer, but were not willing to match Dynamo Kiev’s £14.5 million release clause that had been set for the winger.

Although the Ukraine international signed a new five-year-deal with the club only in October, his agent Vadim Shabily has reiterated on several occasions that it is his number one priority to secure his client a move to the Premier League, with Everton leading the race for the dynamic forward.

In 22 games this season, Yarmolenko has already bagged an incredible 13 goals from the wide position, as well as setting up eight goals for his Kiev team-mates.

With an exit for Kevin Mirallas looking increasingly likely, a move to Goodison Park for Yarmolenko would be an excellent signing from Roberto Martinez.
