Brennan Johnson and Jake O’Brien could both add to their international minutes today as Everton’s Nations League interest continues.
Johnson and Wales are first up with a trip to Denmark, before O’Brien and the Republic of Ireland face Israel in Hungary later this evening. Both Everton players completed 90 minutes for their countries on Thursday and will hope to be involved again.
Johnson looks for another Wales start
Johnson played the full game as Wales opened their Nations League campaign away to Portugal on Thursday night. The 25-year-old came closest to an equaliser late on when his effort struck the crossbar, but Craig Bellamy’s side were unable to find a way back into the game.
Johnson now has another opportunity to feature as Wales travel to Copenhagen to face Denmark in League A. The hosts are also looking for their first points after losing 3-2 against Norway in their opening fixture.
