# Everton-linked Ancelotti discussing Guangzhou move

Everton have been [linked](https://readeverton.com/2017/10/23/everton-reportedly-considering-carlo-ancelotti-new-boss/) with an ambitious swoop for Carlo Ancelotti in recent times.

The Toffees are on the lookout for a new manager following their dismissal of Ronald Koeman on Monday, and have been linked with a plethora of bosses including Ancelotti.

Having been sacked by Bayern Munich earlier on in the season after reports of discontent from the Bundesliga champions’ squad, Ancelotti is out of the job, and is said to be under consideration from the Everton hierarchy.

However, if they are to secure the ex-Chelsea boss they may need to move fast, with the Chinese press, as cited by the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/carlo-ancelotti-talks-chinese-super-11402113), claiming that Ancelotti is in discussions with Guangzhou Evergrande.

The Chinese Super League outfit are in an extremely strong position financially, and have been dominant at the top of the domestic competition for several years now.

Although Ancelotti is not seemingly keen on returning to management this season, an offer from a club with such economic firepower like Guangzhou could present an attractive proposition to the Italian, amid links to Everton.
