# Everton linked with Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun

Everton are reportedly the latest side to take an interest in Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun.

The Turkey international has been courted by several Premier League clubs in recent months, with Crystal Palace having made a move for him late in the summer transfer window. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have also been linked with Tosun.

According to a report from Turkish news outlet [Haberturk](https://www.haberturk.com/tottenham-cenk-tosun-icin-geliyor-besiktas-transfer-haberleri-1689141-spor/4), the Toffees have already made contact regarding a move for Tosun, who is continuing to impress this season.

It’s claimed by Haberturk that Everton have flown representatives out to Tosun’s homeland in order to discuss a move with his agent Senol Tosun, who is also the player’s father.

Everton have been made to rue their failure to sign a new striker in the summer, with the club currently sat dangerously low in 18th place on the Premier League table.

Tosun could be the man targeted by the Toffees in January, but one thing is for certain – they will face a battle for his signature.
