# Everton linked with fresh move for Khouma Babacar

Everton have reportedly reignited their interest in Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar.

The Toffees were claimed to have made a late swoop for the forward at the back end of the summer transfer window, but failed as they desperately searched for attacking reinforcements.

Everton have already significantly strengthened their front-line this month, though. Cenk Tosun has arrived for £27 million and Theo Walcott also joined for a sum of £20m recently.

However, La Nazione (via [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-linked-fresh-khouma-babacar-14188564)) report that Everton are hungry to further bolster their attack and will explore the possibility of signing Babacar from Fiorentina.

The Senegalese front man has been heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace of late but the allure of playing for a club of Everton’s size could come as an attractive proposition for Babacar.

Although he has only netted five times for Fiorentina this season, Babacar would undoubtedly add a different dimension to the current options at Sam Allardyce’s disposal.
