# Everton linked with move to sign Edin Dzeko

Everton are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko, with his future in Italy up in the air.

[According to Italian outlet II Messaggero](https://www.ilmessaggero.it/sport/calcio/roma_dzeko_schick_asroma_di_francesco_champions-4222580.html), Everton are one of the teams considering moves to sign the ex-Manchester City forward.

Dzeko has long been linked with a Premier League return after impressing Italy, with the striker [rejecting the chance](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/dzeko-happyto-have-rejected-chelsea-after-champions-league/1lp4bez9h8mol1izbxh7f5q1s0) to join Chelsea last season.

The Blues were keen to bring the Bosnian to London but settled and enjoying life in Italy, Dzeko opted against a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, things have not quite gone to plan for the player this season, starting only 11 games in Serie A and scoring twice along the way. It’s quite the drop off for Dzeko, who scored a combined 45 goals in the previous two Serie A seasons.

There are now concerns over his future in Rome, with talk of a summer exit rising.
