# Everton looking to sign Talisca

Everton have reportedly joined the hunt for SL Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca.

According to a report from Turkish news outlet [Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/2017/04/04/ingilizler-talisca-nin-pesinde-1286588), the Toffees are monitoring Talisca’s progress out on loan with Besiktas and are weighing up a move for him when the summer transfer window comes around.

The Brazilian has been impressive for Besiktas since signing for the Europa League outfit on a two-year loan deal back in the summer and this has led to speculation over a move away to the Premier League.

However, if Everton are to make a serious move for the midfielder, they must fend off competition from fellow Premier League competitors Manchester United, who are also keen to bring him to England.

[The Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/787953/Everton-Man-United-Liverpool-21m-midfielder-Premier-League-Transfer-News-Gossip) claim that Talisca has a £21 million release clause in his current contract at Benfica, which is a sum that may be affordable for Everton if they do choose to pounce.
