# Everton to meet Yarmolenko release clause

Everton are prepared to pay Andriy Yarmolenko’s €20m release clause, [according to the Liverpool Echo.](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-ready-meet-andriy-yarmolenkos-9898463)

The Blues have been in talks with Dynamo Kyiv for around a week, as they look for the foreign no.10 Roberto Martinez has been desperate to bring to the club.

Everton’s hierarchy are now working to bring the Ukrainian to the club before deadline day and have travelled to Monaco to thrash out a deal, but they aren’t out of the woods yet.

Dynamo Kyiv are reputedly difficult to deal with, Stoke City learned that earlier this summer, and will want a lot of that €20million up front.

The 25-year-old, who can play anywhere behind the striker, was a key player in Kyiv’s Europa League campaign and impressed against Everton when the two sides met in the last 16.

Yarmolenko is the captain of Kyiv, his hometown club, and while he is reportedly interested in a move to England he will not agitate for a move, but the Ukrainian giants are prepared to sell him as he is in the last year of his contract.

Is Yarmolenko a transfer worth waiting for?
