# Everton must get rid of Allan

[Everton](https://readeverton.com/) have seen numerous [players](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-everton/transfers/verein/29) make moves away from Goodison Park over recent years.

While the previous summer transfer window once again saw a number of [players](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-everton/transfers/verein/29) wave goodbye to the Merseyside club, one figure that didn’t, who we feel should be in the club’s plans to move out in the near future is Allan.

The Brazilian [joined](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54040760) Everton back in 2020 in a deal worth £21m from Napoli and has since gone on to make [57](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/allan/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/126422) appearances for the Toffees across all competitions.

Despite making 28 league appearances last season, the midfielder only managed to earn himself a rather uninspiring overall performance rating of 6.5/10 from [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/31/Archive/England-Everton), making him one of the lowest-rated Everton players to start more than one league game.

In fact, Harry Redknapp even [said](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/shocking-harry-redknapp-slams-everton-23325122) that the former Napoli star “can’t run and get around the pitch” at one point last season.

Things haven’t been much better for the 31-year-old this season either, as Frank Lampard is yet to give the [£70k-per-week](https://fbref.com/en/squads/d3fd31cc/2022-2023/wages/Everton-Wage-Details) figure his first league [appearance](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/allan/leistungsdaten/spieler/126422) of the campaign.

Taking this into account, and the fact that Lampard seems to have already replaced the Brazilian with the recent summer signing of Amadou Onana, who has [completed](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/amadou-onana/leistungsdaten/spieler/485706) the full 90 minutes in each of Everton’s last three league games, we feel that Kevin Thelwell should be looking to get rid of Allan whenever possible.

Having also [brought](https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2771548/gana-rejoins-everton) Idrissa Gana Gueye back to the blue half of Merseyside, this could also impact the Brazilian’s game time this season.

Interestingly, it has recently been [reported](https://www.90min.com/posts/everton-duo-allan-and-salomon-rondon-drawing-transfer-interest-from-uae) that the midfielder has caught the attention of clubs in the Middle East, which could make it somewhat easier for Everton to move the player on from Goodison.

With all of that in mind, it would seem to be in everyone’s best interest if Allan made a move away from Everton and joined a club where he’d be able to play regularly.
