# Everton reportedly considering Carlo Ancelotti as new boss

Everton are considering Carlo Ancelotti for the vacant managerial position, according to the [Independent](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/everton-next-manager-carlo-ancelotti-sean-dyche-search-for-replacement-koeman-a8015761.html).

It was confirmed on Monday afternoon that the Toffees had relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties in charge of the club following a terrible start to the season. Everton sit in the relegation zone following Sunday’s 5-2 home defeat against Arsenal.

While the Toffees look around for their new manager, David Unsworth is expected to make the step up from the Under-23 side to the first-team as caretaker boss.

However, Everton’s options are already being assessed, and Ancelotti is a name touted by the Independent.

The experienced manager was sacked at Bayern Munich earlier on in the season for what was deemed to be an underwhelming start to the campaign at the Allianz Arena.

Ancelotti would certainly need convincing to take over at Goodison Park, given the illustrious roles in European football has has previously taken.

Sean Dyche, who is currently in charge of Burnley, is still being named as the leading candidate for the job though, according to a variety of reports.
