# Everton scout Spartak midfielder Kral

Everton have scouted Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral, according to reports.

Everton have been linked with a number of midfielders ahead of the January transfer window, with injuries this season to JP Gbamin, Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin at different points causing Marco Silva to seek further reinforcements.

Now to add a new name to the growing list of potential targets, Clubcall ([via HITC](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/10/28/report-everton-want-spartak-moscow-midfielder-alex-kral/page/1/)) claim that Everton have been keeping an eye on Czech Republic international Kral ahead of a move next summer.

Having played for both Slavia Prague and Spartak Moscow this season, Kral cannot move to Everton in January, with the Toffees forced to wait until next summer to move for the 21-year old.

Kral cost the Russian Premier League outfit around £9.5million in the summer, and with the midfielder putting pen to paper on a five-year deal, he would likely cost significantly more should he move on again so soon.

Kral may be slightly familiar to international football fans, with the Spartak man having started and played the full 90 as Czech Republic beat England 2-1 earlier this month.

With several other Premier League clubs said to be interested in Kral, Everton may hope that he doesn’t perform to well over the coming months, with his stock surely set to rise if so.

### Read Everton Verdict

Kral is a player that I’m sure many Everton fans are not aware of, but he would certainly be an interesting summer recruit.

The midfielder is athletic, has plenty of energy and enough technique on the ball to suit Marco Silva’s system, although it would be strange as Everton would likely be able to land better.

Abdoulaye Doucoure was linked in the summer, and with several more months to negotiate and plan an offer, surely he is a more likely candidate, for example.

The Frenchman is a different player to Kral, but he is an established player in one of Europe’s top five leagues, and unless Kral joins in January (which he won’t), it wouldn’t surprise me to see Marcel Brands and Silva target someone more high profile next summer.
