# Everton scouting young Bury star

Everton have reportedly been keeping tabs on Bury youngster Callum Styles.

According to a report from the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-scout-bury-wonderkid-callum-12699356) today, the Toffees have been casting a keen eye over Bury’s matches in recent times and have been impressed by the young prospect’s performances as of late.

The 16-year-old signed his first ever professional deal with the club only last week and certainly looks to have a wealth of potential given the interest that has already come about in his services.

It’s reported that Everton Under-23’s chief scout Jamie Hoyland has been spotted at the League One games watching over Styles and how he is progressing at Gigg Lane.

Styles made history last season, becoming the first ever player born in the 21st century to have made a senior appearance in the Football League, and it’s clear to see why he was given the opportunity.

Everton will hope to win the race for the youngster.
