# Everton targeting Ajax man Klaassen

Everton are reportedly eyeing a move for Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen.

According to a report from the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/ajaxs-everton-transfer-target-davy-9965914), the Dutchman has been heavily scouted this season by the Toffees and Ronald Koeman is keen on making a bid for him in the summer.

Klaassen has been a mainstay in Ajax’s team for some time now, having shown lots of quality when called upon.

The 24-year-old is an attacking midfielder with creative and technical quality in abundance, meaning that he’d be a shrewd addition to Koeman’s plans ahead of next season.

Klaassen is a full Dutch international and has a wealth of experience on the European stage with Ajax in both the Champions League and Europa League.

However, if Koeman is serious about his pursuit in signing his compatriot, he must act quickly to fend off interest from elsewhere. Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and Italian giants Napoli are both claimed to have expressed an interest.
