# Everton in three-way tussle for Moussa Sissoko

Everton are part of a three-way tussle with West Brom and Crystal Palace to land Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko this summer, according to the [Shields Gazette](https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/newcastle-united/latest-nufc-news/revealed-the-trio-of-premier-league-clubs-bidding-for-newcastle-s-moussa-sissoko-1-8091593).

Real Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan have all made checks on the Frenchman this summer but have decided to pursue other targets or deem the £35m-rated midfielder too costly.

The 26-year-old joined [Newcastle](https://readnewcastle.com/) from Toulouse in January 2013 for just £2.1m and has been a rather hot-and-cold performer in the last three and a half years.

However, a stunning [Euro 2016](https://readeuro2016.com/) campaign for Sissoko has put him in the shop window following [Newcastle](https://readnewcastle.com/)’s relegation to the Championship, with the Toon placing a £35m price tag on him.

Alan Pardew signed Sissoko and [Newcastle](https://readnewcastle.com/) and would like to bring him to Selhurst Park, but according to [Sport.fr](https://www.sport.fr/football/18h25-les-derniers-buzz-du-mercato-stambouli-ntep-coman-400332.shtm), Paris Saint-Germain, [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/) and [Borussia Dortmund](https://readbundesliga.com/) are all interested in signing the Frenchman, while West Ham have [also been linked](https://t.co/Fw4FcTowcj).

Able to play in central midfield or on the right wing, Sissoko has scored 13 goals and assisting in 27 more in his 170 appearances for [Newcastle](https://readnewcastle.com/) across all competitions.

The Shields Gazette say Palace, along with Everton and West Brom, are the most keen on signing Sissoko before next Wednesday’s transfer deadline, with the [Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/08/26/everton-vying-with-crystal-palace-in-race-to-sign-moussa-sissoko/?) also confirming Palace and Everton’s interest.
