# Everton to rival Premier League trio for Norwich defender Aarons

Everton will rival Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham for Norwich defender Max Aarons this month, according to reports.

The 19-year old right-back was the Canaries’ breakout start in the Championship last season, and he has continued his form into the Premier League, featuring 19 times in the league this season so far.

There was heavy speculation linking Aarons with a move in the summer, with Crystal Palace said to have been keen on signing him to replace the Manchester United bound Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

However nothing ultimately came of the interest, and now the club could struggle to keep Aarons at Carrow Road.

[Mail Online report](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7848713/Arsenal-battle-Tottenham-Max-Aarons-Mikel-Arteta-makes-30million-Norwich-starlet-target.html) that Arsenal have joined the race for Aarons this month, having made an enquiry this week.

Spurs are tipped as the favourites to sign the full-back, who would cost £30million this month, while Everton and West Ham are credited with also having expressed interest.

Aarons doesn’t want to return to the Championship should Norwich go down this season, so the East Anglian outfit may decide to cash in before the end of the month, although a loan back to Carrow Road for the remainder of the season has been touted.

### Read Everton Verdict

Much like when Everton registered an interest in Wan-Bissaka last summer, the Toffees will face heavy competition for Aarons this month. He is talented, very young and has bags of potential, and Spurs are said to be long-time admirers.

With Seamus Coleman approaching the end of his Everton career, and with the immediate futures of both Jonjoe Kenny and Djibril Sidibe uncertain, Aarons could be seen as Everton’s ideal choice to succeed Coleman as the club’s long-term right sided full-back.

However, with Kenny to return at the end of the season and with Sidibe only set to cost the Blues just under £13million if they want to make him a permanent player in the summer, it seems as though Everton could spend their money better this month, although I wouldn’t be against them bringing the talented defender to the club.
