# Everton v Chelsea – Cuff’s XI

So, Marco has finally gone. It is sad that it had to come to this, but it really was a decision that needed to be taken.

Farhad Moshiri obviously had a vision in which Silva was an instrumental component, but sometimes luck is against you, and injuries and the board’s transfer struggles did put the boss in a tough position. Ultimately though, he didn’t demonstrate enough tactical nous to warrant his position any longer.

Duncan Ferguson will lead the Blues out against Chelsea, and the likelihood of getting a result is hard to predict. Everton were woeful against Liverpool in what was one of the worst performances under Silva, but a change could potentially reinvigorate the squad. Or it might not, who knows at this point.

Everton may be in the relegation zone and that is scary, but fans have to be patient. Now that a decision has been made over Silva, fans need to back Ferguson and the squad all the way, at least until a new manager can change things around in January.

Looking forward to the game on Saturday, here’s how I’d like to see Everton line-up.
